All instructors are available for private lessons. Schedule these directly with the instructor.
Intermediate Advanced Track - Main ballroom
Beginner/Novice Track – Club 91 Bar – Note – Even though the instructors will make sure that they go over the basic patterns necessary for the material taught in each workshop, they will assume that you have some experience with the dance ther are focusing on in that workshop (WCSwing, Hustle, Niteclub, etc, etc). These workshops are probably not suitable for people who have never danced before.
About naming the workshops – One of the most irritating aspects ... to the Pro’s ... of a workshop weekend, is when the promoter “Names” the workshops (Whips, Syncopations, Funky Stuff, Goat Roapers & Flips, etc, etc). This is because it limits the instructors ability to alter the lesson plan if he/she feels the material is not appropriate for the class.
What I have done instead, is provide headline instructors, whom have the same general approach to the dance (Basics, Positioning, Timing, etc), but with radically different styles. Rest assured, even though you will hear the same basic technique out of all of them, their material ... especially upper level material, will be very different.
The easiest way to determine if you are in the proper class ... If you are in the Int/Adv room, and you are not getting the material, then you probably need to be int the Beg/Nov room. Of course, the reverse applies to the Novice room, but honestly, very few underestimate their abilities.
